Simon Boyes was co-opted onto Council in 2025 and elected as a Trustee at the AGM. He has lived near Welshpool since 1980 and is the county bird recorder for Montgomeryshire. He spent his adult life leading bird tours to almost all bird-rich parts of the world, and working as ship’s ornithologist on many polar expeditions, especially to Antarctica.
