Milvus 2.1 is finally published on the website for members, to join Scarce and rare birds in Wales 2022 and the Welsh Bird Report 2022

It’s unusual for Milvus issues to be published out of sequence, but we’re pleased finally to add Milvus Volume 2, issue 1 to join  ‘Scarce and Rare Birds in Wales, 2022’ (Milvus Volume 2, issue 2) and the Welsh Bird Report (Milvus Volume 2, issue 3). The links to the PDFs will only show if you are logged in as a WOS member.  Unfortunately it has not been possible to correct a number of errors in the Crossbill vocalisation paper: two of the photos are inaccurate and there are minor errors in the text which the previous Milvus has not amended.

The Scarce and Rare report makes mouth-watering reading, with full details of three new species for Wales, a great collection of photos and updating of the list of scarce and rare species considered by WBRC.

The Welsh Bird Report 2022 is a comprehensive and fascinating read, including details of three new UK and European longevity records for Kittiwake, Chough and House Sparrow and the seventh edition of the Checklist of the Birds of Wales.
