Ian Spence has been co-opted as Membership Secretary in 2026. He was Secretary of WOS from July 2006 until October 2020 and has been a bird ringer and nest recorder for over 40 years. He has been a BBS surveyor for over 20 years, currently contributing data for four FIintshire squares. He played a lead role in the Atlas project that led to publication of ‘The Breeding Birds of North Wales’ in 2013 and was later one of the editors of ‘The Birds of Wales/Adar Cymru’ in 2021.
