Bird-recording in Wales is based largely on the Watsonian vice-county system. Gower is the western part of Glamorgan VC41, which is treated as a separate recording area from East Glamorgan by WOS and local bird recorders. Gower VC41a covers Swansea and Neath/Port Talbot unitary authorities.
