The Welsh Bird Report for 2020 has now been published; it’s a fascinating read, even from a Covid-hampered year. It documents continuing declines in winter seabird numbers but one of the lockdown bonuses was increased breeding of a few species that are sensitive to human disturbance – e.g. Ringed Plover. The ringing section documents two British and Irish longevity records: for Little Tern and House Sparrow.
The report is now available to members only online and printed copies will be distributed to all members shortly.
