The long delayed North-East Wales bird report has finally been published; it’s a double edition covering 2019 and 2020 and contains over 250 pages of species summaries and excellent locally taken photographs, maps and charts, together with ringing and nest recording reports and a feature article on birding ‘The Moss’. CBRG are not producing print versions any longer; it can be read or downloaded from the Birding North Wales website for free.

It’s been delayed for so long for a combination of factors: work on The Birds of Wales had to take priority and Covid and time problems for species account writers have conspired to slow it down. It’s an excellent read and packed with interesting material, but sadly it may be the last of its kind as CBRG needs a new editor and more members who can help with the preparation of an annual report – if you are able to help keep it afloat, please get in touch with the group.
